The Why We Do What We Do Promo appears on almost every VeggieTales video. In VeggieTales releases from 2000 to 2001, it shows clips of several kids of some employees while the Thankfulness Song plays over the promo. The next version, starting in 2001, is shorter than the first.

- In the 2001 Word Entertainment reprint of The Toy That Saved Christmas, the promo was placed before the previews.
- In A Taste of VeggieTales, the promo was placed after the closing previews.
- In videos from 2003 to 2004, the promo used Big Idea's 10th Anniversary logo.
