Fun Facts[]
Trivia[]
- This is the first VeggieTales production of several things:
- The first production to not involve Phil Vischer, Mike Nawrocki, Lisa Vischer, and Kurt Heinecke in any way, as they were laid off shortly before the podcast series was released.
- This is also the first production to not involve the latter two since VeggieTales in the City.
- The first production to feature real kids since Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men and the first project to have VeggieTales characters interact with real kids since said episode.
- This is also the first production where Petunia specifically interacts with real kids since Sweetpea Beauty.
- The first VeggieTales production to have guest stars since Noah's Ark.
- The first series to not have the word "Tales" in the title.
- The first production where Bob, Larry, Archibald, Pa Grape, Jimmy, Jerry, Mr. Nezzer, Mr. Lunt, Jean-Claude, Philippe, Scallion #1, Scallion #2, and Scallion #3 are voiced by Joe Zieja.
- It is also the first production in which:
- Bob is voiced by someone other than Phil Vischer since God Made You Special Live!
- Archibald and Pa Grape are voiced by someone other than Vischer since A Very Veggie Christmas Live!
- Mr. Nezzer is voiced by someone other than Vischer since LarryBoy and the Angry Eyebrows Trouble.
- It is also the first time overall in which Jimmy, Mr. Lunt, and Philippe, along with Scallion #1, are voiced by someone other than Phil Vischer.
- It is also the first production in which:
- The first production in which Larry, Jerry, Jean-Claude, and Scallion #2 are voiced by someone other than Mike Nawrocki.
- It is also the first production in which Scallion #3 is voiced by someone other than Mike since Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men.
- The first production to have more than one season since VeggieTales in the City.
- The first non-compilation project with the word "Very Veggie" in the title since A Very Veggie Easter.
- The first production to not involve Phil Vischer, Mike Nawrocki, Lisa Vischer, and Kurt Heinecke in any way, as they were laid off shortly before the podcast series was released.
- Mr. Lunt is shown to be a skilled animal translator in this podcast, while Petunia is shown to be the executive producer of the VeggieTales podcast itself.
- The first season consists of 15 episodes, while the second season only consists of 8 episodes.
- As of Season 2, the following changes have occurred to the podcast:
- The commercial, the song, the surprise guest, and even Mr. Lunt have a different orientation regarding their appearances in each episode, with at least one of them appearing either before or after the other.
- Petunia often tells Bob and Larry that they have certain guests waiting on the line. One of the latter two would also often reply to this with "Put him/her/'em through, Producer Petunia."
- The real-life kid often appears closer towards the end of an episode instead of the middle of one, although there have been some exceptions.
- Petunia does not fully interact with real-life kids alongside Bob and Larry like she did in the previous season. The only time she does so this season is when she tells the kid caller that they are live on the podcast with Bob and Larry.
- The ringtone is used less often compared to the previous season, in which it was heard in every episode.
- The surprise guests now only appear in some episodes as opposed to appearing in every single episode. They also interact with Bob and Larry via phone calls instead of in person.
- Additionally, each surprise guest in the second season has a professional job (i.e. beekeeper, doctor, archaeologist, etc.).
- The commercials for each sponsor are often now referred to as "advertisements" instead of "commercial breaks" or "cutting to commercial". These commercials also have the same announcer as opposed to having different announcers for a specific commercial in certain episodes.
- As of Taking Care of the Earth, Bob and Larry now also acknowledge each sponsor after their respective commercial is played.
- Most of the songs often just go straight to the points in each song where the singing begins. Songs that involve the Silly Song Announcer also have all of his parts (or at least his opening lines) removed.
- Nearly every song that is featured in each episode is referred to as "The [insert title] Song", even those that aren't typically referred to as such (i.e. Mac and Cheese, Monkey).
- Most of the Season 2 episodes were released exactly 16 years after certain episodes of VeggieTales and 3-2-1 Penguins! had aired on Qubo.
Remarks[]
- The podcast series' cover photo is actually an edited version of the album cover artwork for 25 Favorite Silly Songs.
- Despite Phil, Mike, and Lisa's characters being recasted, their original voices can be heard during the theme song, as well as many of the songs included in each episode.
- The VeggieTales Theme Song is heard near the beginning of each episode. However, it is rather shortened and starts at the point where Larry plays the sousaphone before the cast sings the chorus and fades out during Bob's solo.
- This podcast implies that the entire VeggieTales universe is set in Bumblyburg, not just the LarryBoy-centered episodes. This is likely proven in the first two episodes of the second season, particularly the second episode, Making Right Choices.
- Instead of receiving a message from a kid and responding to their question before the main story or first segment, like most VeggieTales projects, Bob and Larry (and sometimes Petunia) do so after the first segment or in the middle of each episode in this podcast. Some episodes even have them interact with a kid at least twice.
- As of Season 2, Bob and Larry would interact with a real-life kid and help them out with their problem closer toward the end of an episode, almost like in the original series.
- Additionally, bible verses are usually quoted in the middle of episodes, specifically when Bob, Larry, and/or Petunia talk to the kid caller, rather than at the end of episodes like the original and revival shows.
- As of Season 2, Bob and Larry would interact with a real-life kid and help them out with their problem closer toward the end of an episode, almost like in the original series.
