Universal Studios is an American motion picture studio, located in Hollywood, California and founded in April 30, 1912. They are best known for producing movies such as the Jaws series, E.T, the Back to the Future trilogy, the Jurassic Park/World series, The Mummy, the Fast & Furious series and Despicable Me.

They helped Big Idea with the distribution for their second feature film, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie. On August 22, 2016, NBCUniversal purchased Big Idea's owners, DreamWorks Animation's subsidiary, Classic Media.

In 2018, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment took over distribution for VeggieTales DVDs.

They also distributed the home media releases of The VeggieTales Show,

They were in talks of helping develop a brand new VeggieTales movie but due to the shutdown of Big Idea, the movie has been shelved.
