Fun Facts[]
Trivia[]
- This is the first episode of a few things:
- The first episode to feature people who work "behind the scenes" in the podcast. In this case, the people in this category featured in this episode are the guy who reminds the commercial announcer how much time they have before the commercial ends and two technicians named Rick and Carl, who try to fix the broken power system and chewed power cords.
- The first episode to acknowledge Lisa Asparagus in some way since being indirectly mentioned in Don't Stop Believing (not counting her pictured cameos in The VeggieTales Show or her appearance in the song for A Thankful Heart Is a Happy Heart).
- The first episode to feature an animal besides the ones Mr. Lunt talks to, that being Mr. Saint-Claire, Madame Blueberry's French bulldog.
- The first episode where Mr. Lunt's animal friends are not named.
Remarks[]
- The Song of the Cebú is significantly shortened in this episode, as the opening portion, all of Archibald's speaking parts, and the final verse are noticeably omitted.
Inside References[]
- Timmy shares his name with a kid who interacted with Bob and Larry via video chat in 'Twas the Night Before Easter.
- Mr. Lunt calling Bob "Boberino" is a possible reference to the name of the rollercoaster from Veggie Carnival.
- Madame Blueberry's line "I wasn't totally lying" is the same thing Callie Flower said in LarryBoy and the Cape-Coat Caper.
- Coincidentally, both characters are voiced by Stephanie Southerland.
- The same violin "dun-dun" sounds from the first podcast episode play near the end of this episode, when Madame Blueberry starts to discuss Bob and Larry's slurping from earlier.
Real-World References[]
- Throughout the episode, Larry makes several references to the board game Clue, such as when he suspects the culprit to be Madame Blueberry "in the kitchen with the candlestick" or Mr. Lunt "in the conservatory with the rope."
- Sherlock Combs is a parody of famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, who was originally parodied in an earlier episode.
- On another note, Combs' ringtone is the tune of British patriotic song, Rule Britannia.
- When all of the sound effects from the podcast machine play at the same time, one of these sounds is the Wilhelm scream, which was previously heard in the first episode of the podcast.
- Larry's line "You can't handle the truth" is a reference to the 1992 film, A Few Good Men.
