|The Missing Jetpack|
March 25, 2016
The Missing Jetpack is the first half of the second episode of the third season of VeggieTales in the House.
A Cherry Cat jumps onto the edge of a nearby dumpster at the same time that the Larrymobile drives by. The Cherry Cat ends up falling into the dumpster, and the dumpster doors close after that, though the Cherry Cat peeks out while looking rather unamused. The Larrymobile then parks in front of Mr. Lunt's repair shop, and LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack get out of the Larrymobile. They then approach the front of the shop, and the front window opens up, revealing Mr. Lunt. Junior Jetpack tells Mr. Lunt that he's here to pick up his gear, but Mr. Lunt misunderstands, thinking that it's a toaster. Junior Jetpack corrects him, and tells him that he dropped off his jetpack yesterday for repair. Mr. Lunt then puts the toaster down and picks up a clipboard, asking Junior Jetpack for his name, which Junior Jetpack does, which causes Mr. Lunt to claim that he thought that Junior Jetpack looked like Junior Toastpack, which is another guy entirely, then says, "One moment while I find it." Mr. Lunt starts to look for Junior Jetpack's jetpack, but can't seem to find it anywhere, before returning to the shop, claiming that he couldn't find his head if his entire body wasn't his head. Mr. Lunt runs off to look for the jetpack again, while Junior Jetpack tells him that if he lost it, he has to buy him a new one. Mr. Lunt thinks that the prospect of buying a new jetpack is too expensive, but tells Junior Jetpack not to worry because he's sure that it'll turn up any moment, which causes Junior Jetpack to sadly leave. LarryBoy tells Mr. Lunt to call them when he finds it, before he and Junior Jetpack leave, though LarryBoy uses his Super Suction Ear to bring Junior Jetpack with him.
After LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack have left, Mr. Lunt worriedly says that he has to find that jetpack. Mr. Lunt's good side then appears, telling Mr. Lunt to be honest and tell Junior that he lost his jetpack. Mr. Lunt says that he'll do anything but that. Back at the LarryCave, Junior Jetpack sadly says that without his pack, he feels like he's just half a hero, which LarryBoy thinks is weird, saying that sometimes he feel like only half a pizza. Junior Jetpack feels even more glum, before LarryBoy assures him that Mr. Lunt will find it before they get called to another crime scene. Just as LarryBoy says this, the LarryComputer starts beeping, alerting him and Junior Jetpack to another crime. Junior Jetpack reads on the screen that the crime is an attack on Mr. Lunt's shop. When LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack arrive at Mr. Lunt's shop, Junior Jetpack is astonished when Mr. Lunt apparently tells him that Motato stole his jetpack, which Mr. Lunt confirms, saying that he just "tore in here like a bull in a China shop that specifically steals jetpacks!" LarryBoy asks Mr. Lunt if he's positive that it was Motato, and Mr. Lunt says that he's "absolutely 100 percent pretty sure." LarryBoy then says that he's on the case with Junior "No-pack," which Junior Jetpack takes offense to, though LarryBoy tells him that he is, before they both leave Mr. Lunt's shop. After LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack have left, Mr. Lunt's good side chastises Mr. Lunt, saying that Motato wasn't at his shop and that Mr. Lunt just told a lie. Mr. Lunt claims that he just had to buy some more time and that once he finds it, he'll clear the whole thing up. At that moment, Mr. Lunt's bad side appears next to him and tells him that jetpacks just don't fly away on their own and that it'll turn up while he'll get off scot-free, which Mr. Lunt agrees with, telling his good side that his "little red me" knows. The good side tells Mr. Lunt that he's the bad one, but Mr. Lunt tells the good side to just chill out and to do something constructive and to help find the jetpack. At that moment, the Cherry Cat comes up next to Junior Jetpack's jetpack, which is laying next to a guitar, while the bad side calls the good side a square.
The Cherry Cat then puts on the jetpack, which then turns on, causing the Cherry Cat to start rocketing all over the place with the jetpack on. The good side tells Mr. Lunt that the jetpack has been found, while Mr. Lunt starts chasing after the Cherry Cat to get the jetpack back. Meanwhile, Motato announces that he is going to destroy someone, only to be revealed that he is actually playing checkers with another Radish. Suddenly, LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack burst into the lair, surprising Motato and the Radishes. LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack leap in, while Motato laments that checkers has been ruined. Junior Jetpack demands for Motato to hand over his jetpack, while LarryBoy tells Motato that they know that he stole it from Mr. Lunt's shop. Motato is surprised when LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack tell him this, telling them that it's Board Game Monday and that they do not steal jetpacks on Board Game Monday. Junior Jetpack leaps out at Motato, completely forgetting that he doesn't have his jetpack, so just ends up falling flat on his face in front of Motato and the Radishes. One Radish scoffs that "Junior No-pack isn't so tough," but LarryBoy quickly leaps in, before Motato fires some French Fries at him but he dodges. After LarryBoy lands on the floor, the phone in his helmet starts ringing, the caller revealed to be Mayor Archibald. LarryBoy takes the call, and Mayor Archibald tells him, "There's a cat in a jetpack wreaking havoc in the town center!" After the call ends, LarryBoy is surprised when he hears of a cat in a jetpack before realizing that Motato didn't take Junior Jetpack's jetpack after all. LarryBoy goes to leave, though Motato taunts him that he's leaving so soon because he just got here. Motato tries to shoot more French Fries at LarryBoy, but LarryBoy uses one of his wings to block off the French Fries, before telling Junior Jetpack, "Let's take off! Blast away!" However, Junior Jetpack can't fly due to not having his jetpack as he tries to catch up, but can't. Motato then has a cage fall on top of Junior Jetpack, trapping him inside. Motato then tells Junior Jetpack that "Board Game Monday has got a lot less boring!"
LarryBoy continues flying, before calling out to Junior Jetpack to catch up, but quickly realizes that Junior Jetpack can't fly without his jetpack and that he's trapped, so LarryBoy flies back the way he came to rescue Junior Jetpack. Jimmy and Jerry pass by when they look up and see LarryBoy fly by, before looking up to see the Cherry Cat flying past them with Junior Jetpack's jetpack, which prompts Jerry to say, "It's a cat," before they get into an argument about whether it's LarryBoy or a cat. Before they can react, the Cherry Cat suddenly zooms right in front of them and bowls right into them, while Jimmy yells at the Cherry Cat to watch it, before Jerry yells "Cat!" once again, then adds, "astrophic." Mr. Lunt is able to spy the Cherry Cat while in his monster truck before driving off then says, "I'll get you, my kitty! And your little dog too!" The Cherry Cat swoops past Ichabeezer and Rooney, which gets Rooney so excited that he starts chasing after the airborne Cherry Cat, dragging Ichabeezer with him. Rooney chases after the Cherry Cat while dragging Ichabeezer, while Mr. Lunt still drives after the Cherry Cat. The Cherry Cat then crashes into a nearby building, causing someone to scream, before Rooney also jumps into the building with Ichabeezer as well. The Cherry Cat then crashes out the other side of the building, before Rooney and Ichabeezer come out afterwards. Mr. Lunt still continues driving, but realizes that Rooney and Ichabeezer are now in front of him, as the front of the monster truck then runs in front of the leash, before the leash then catapults the monster truck with Mr. Lunt in it into the air, while Mr. Lunt quips that "that's one strong dog leash." At that moment, the monster truck flies up next to the Cherry Cat, which gives Mr. Lunt a chance to catch the Cherry Cat, before the monster truck then lands in front of a car being driven by a carrot man. Mr. Lunt ends up spiraling in the air while hanging on to the Cherry Cat and the jetpack until crashing into a pile of nearby boxes.
After the ordeal is over, the Cherry Cat leaves, while Mr. Lunt comes out from under the boxes and is able to retrieve the jetpack again. The bad side then appears next to Mr. Lunt and tells him to return it to Junior Jetpack and blame it all on Motato and do a celebratory dance. However, LarryBoy angrily approaches Mr. Lunt and tells him not to dance yet because he told him that Motato stole the jetpack. Mr. Lunt nervously claims that the cat's name was Motato, but LarryBoy doesn't believe him, before Mr. Lunt finally admits that he lied and that he figured that he could find the jetpack before anything bad happens. LarryBoy tells Mr. Lunt that Junior Jetpack got trapped by Motato thanks to Mr. Lunt's lie, as he takes Junior Jetpack's jetpack back, before proclaiming that he needs to go save him. Mr. Lunt is surprised when he hears that Junior Jetpack got caught, realizing that it's all his fault and that he should have been honest. LarryBoy is about to leave, when Mr. Lunt runs up to him, pleading to him to let him help, but LarryBoy asks him how he can help him. Mr. Lunt then answers that any situation can be improved with his monster truck. LarryBoy is surprised about this, though Mr. Lunt tells him that his monster truck is not just any monster truck, but actually has a stereo system and a laser light show. Back at Motato's lair, Junior Jetpack is still trapped, while Motato is gloating that since Junior Jetpack doesn't have his jetpack, but gets cut off by the first Radish who says that Junior Jetpack is more like "Junior Faceplant," which the other Radishes laugh about, but Motato thinks that that Radish stole his joke, which causes that Radish to admit that he is not funny. Junior Jetpack tells Motato that he won't get away with it, and that LarryBoy will be back to save him while Motato will go to Veggie Jail. Motato tells Junior Jetpack that he was framed and that he didn't steal the jetpack. Junior Jetpack admits that, before telling Motato that he stole him, though Motato asks Junior Jetpack what he expected when he walked into his lair, because he is a supervillain and that he can't just not kidnap him. Motato and the Radishes leave, leaving Junior Jetpack alone before Junior Jetpack asks what if he has to go to the bathroom.
Outside the lair, the Larrymobile and Mr. Lunt's monster truck stop in front of the lair. LarryBoy and Mr. Lunt start to approach the front door of the lair, before Mr. Lunt says, "Here's the plan," but LarryBoy angrily tells him that he was gonna say the plan, which Mr. Lunt says was his plan, before LarryBoy says, "Good plan." LarryBoy then tells Mr. Lunt the plan, which is that LarryBoy will sneak up to Junior Jetpack, before LarryBoy whispers the rest of the plan to Mr. Lunt. Mr. Lunt agrees with the plan, saying that he's hip to this plan and that they don't have to tell him twice and that's Grade-A golden planning right there. However, it is revealed that LarryBoy has already gone ahead, leaving Mr. Lunt behind, while Mr. Lunt asks what the plan was, before deciding to wing it until it comes back to him as he jumps into his monster truck and drives off again. Back inside Motato's lair, a crashing sound is heard as Motato and the Radishes turn to see Mr. Lunt driving his monster truck towards him while he yells out, "Hey, bad guys! Attention please!" before stopping right in front of Motato and the Radishes. LarryBoy is surprised when he sees Mr. Lunt is already inside the lair, before Mr. Lunt then turns on the laser light show and stereo system in his monster truck as he starts singing a song about having his "dance pants" on, while the Radishes also join in the song as well. After the song ends, however, Mr. Lunt ends up in the cage with Junior Jetpack thanks to the Radishes. Despite being caged, Junior Jetpack cheerfully greets Mr. Lunt, while Mr. Lunt sadly greets him back and tells him that he owes him an apology, saying that he's sorry he lied. Motato then sarcastically says that it's a tender moment and that they should all group hug, which the Radishes literally do to him. Motato angrily tells the Radishes that he was being sarcastic, before deciding to turn Mr. Lunt into a monkey, deciding to turn him into a gibbon. The first Radish then suggests a macaque, but Motato angrily turns down this suggestion. LarryBoy then tells Motato that his monkey party is over because LarryBoy is here, while Junior Jetpack adds that he's back, before asking where his jetpack is.
At that moment, this causes Mr. Lunt to remember the plan, which is that he is to pull the jetpack out of his hat at the most opportune moment, before Junior Jetpack reminds him that that moment is right now. Mr. Lunt then asks if LarryBoy picked the lock already, which LarryBoy did and that he's just waiting on Mr. Lunt. Mr. Lunt is surprised at some "quick picking" then says, "Hats off to you, my friend!" before removing his hat, revealing Junior Jetpack's jetpack underneath, which Junior Jetpack is happy to see. Junior Jetpack gets his jetpack back, just as Motato shoots some French Fries at them, saying, "Jetpack or not, I'll teach you to ruin checkers!" Motato shoots more French Fries at Junior Jetpack, but he is able to dodge, then puts his jetpack back on before taking to the air. Mr. Lunt feverishly dodges some French Fries shot at him, but LarryBoy is able to save him before tossing him up in the air before he is caught by Junior Jetpack, and says that he is flying like an eagle, rather a roly-poly eagle with no eyes. Motato is unable to find where Junior Jetpack is, while Junior Jetpack is flying around him from behind while still carrying Mr. Lunt. LarryBoy then tells Motato that he failed to turn his partner into a monkey, but they're going to turn him into county lockdown. Motato shoots more fries while saying that they'll have to catch him first, but they are able to dodge him. Motato looks to see that LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack are nowhere in sight, before he is suddenly tackled by the heroes. Motato starts sobbing about his failure as he says, "Pork pudding." Back at Mr. Lunt's shop, Mr. Lunt has gotten Junior Jetpack's jetpack all repaired and that it's on the house, which is the least he could do after making such a mess. LarryBoy tells Mr. Lunt that he learned a valuable lesson today, though Mr. Lunt misunderstands, thinking that the lesson is, "Keep cats away from jetpacks," before LarryBoy informs him of the other lesson, which is that Proverbs 20:17 says, "Bread gained by dishonesty is sweet, but after, your mouth is full of gravel." Mr. Lunt says that he quit his bread and gravel diet weeks ago, but LarryBoy tells him that it means that dishonesty may feel good at first, like eating bread, but it leads to feeling bad like when you eat gravel. Mr. Lunt says that he's no good at riddles, but the point is taken. LarryBoy and Junior Jetpack go to leave, while Junior Jetpack thanks Mr. Lunt, before they drive away after that. After the Larrymobile has left, Mr. Lunt says that there was another lesson that he learned today, to which he starts singing a reprise of his "dance pants" song once again.
