Fun Facts[]
Trivia[]
- This is the first (and only, read the bottom part) episode of several things:
- The first episode of 2022 to take place inside Mr. Nezzer's theater.
- The first episode in which Archibald narrates a story since Don't Stop Believing.
- The first episode to feature camels since Noah's Ark (not counting God Wants Us to Make Peace and The One and Only You!, in which some camels appear in both of those episodes, but only as illustrations).
- The first episode to have a letter that does not end with "Your friend" and the child's name since The Good Shepherd.
- The first episode in which Bob has a role in the story since Don't Give Up on Doing Good.
- The first time since Life is a Highway where blood is mentioned in a Big Idea production.
- The first time lice is mentioned since Very Silly Songs!.
- The first episode where Bob closes the show without Larry, although Larry is present when Bob says the usual closing phrase.
- The first episode to have someone other than Bob or Larry say the source of the Bible verse since A Tale of True Courage.
- In this case, Jean-Claude is the one who says the source of the Bible verse. This is also the first time he does so since Patience Takes Practice.
- The first time Khalil is mentioned by name since Lessons from the Sock Drawer.
- The first episode to show the theater's upper rafters since Patience Takes Practice.
- This is the second time VeggieTales has told a version of the Bible story of Moses. The first time was in Moe and the Big Exit.
- This was the twenty-first episode in production, while it was the twenty-sixth released.
- The end credits feature a newer instrumental mix of the VeggieTales Theme Song, which combines said song with God is Bigger.
- This episode was released exactly 22 years after King George and the Ducky and a year after Samson's Bad Hair Day.
- This is the final released Big Idea production for a few things:
- The final production to involve Kurt Heinecke as music composer.
- The final production to feature the voices of Phil Vischer, Mike Nawrocki, and Lisa Vischer.
- There are a few differences between pre-production and the final product:
- Pa Grape was going to shake his head before saying "Okay, but don't say I didn't warn ya".
- The carrot who points out that the water has turned into blood was originally going to have a Southern accent.
- According to the storyboard reel, the French Peas were originally not shown to be smiling or laughing when they use hoses to shoot blood across the stage.
- The carrot that says "I need a doctor. Is there a polkadot-ologist in the house?" was originally going to be a male instead of a female, in addition to speaking with an Arnold Schwarzenegger-esque voice.
Remarks[]
- When Bob asks Pa Grape to play Moses in the Bible story, Pa Grape responds "I'll get my beard." However, Pa Grape is already shown with a beard (as well as being in his Moses costume) when he says this.
- Khalil's book "Inch by Inch: A Worm's Guide to Success" refers to him as a worm. although technically speaking (and as confirmed by Khalil himself), this is actually half-true, as he is a half-caterpillar, half-worm hybrid.
- While this was not mentioned in the episode itself, it is very likely that Petunia plays the role of Moses' wife in the story. This would make sense considering the fact that she played a similar role in the other episode about Moses.
- Although this episode features a re-enactment of the story of Moses, no one appears to be playing the role of Moses' brother, Aaron. This appears to be very strange, as Aaron happens to be a very major character in that particular Bible story.
- This issue had also occurred in Josh and the Big Wall!
- Moses smashes both tablets with the Ten Commandments on them in this episode. However, in the original Bible story, he smashes only one of these tablets, but was later given another copy of it.
- One of the Israelites says that their livestock has been infected before this scene actually occurs.
- The reason why Moses didn't live to enter the Promised Land was because he hit the rock twice to pour water out instead of speaking to it and he wasn't faithful enough to God and the reason why only Joshua, Caleb and the other Israelites 20 and under only entered the Promised Land was because most of the spies were too scared of the giants in the land and God punished them for 40 years.
- During Traditional Hebrew Song, the French Peas are shown wearing hats in the montage. This also happens at the end of the episode. Strangely though, they appeared earlier in the story but weren't wearing any hats whatsoever.
- Both Bob and Petunia pronounce Shanna's (the kid who wrote the letter in this episode) name differently.
Goofs[]
- When Madame Blueberry says "A creative genius must work with what she has," she and Bob are floating.
- Although technically not a goof, Bob's voice is sped-up when he says "No candles."
- Jerry's mouth does not move at one point towards the end of Good News, Bad News. Jimmy’s mouth has the same error alongside Jerry’s at the very end of the song.
- Madame Blueberry is wall-eyed when Bob says "I don't think all these people can swim."
- This also occurs with Petunia when Larry asks if "Dayenu" is the name of a new vacation resort, and later with Bob when Jean-Claude announces his arrival as the verse angel.
- When Callie says "What would have been enough?", she has Laura's voice.
- Jean-Claude's voice is not pitch-shifted when he says "Watch it! Watch it!"
Inside References[]
- Larry uses his wallaby costume from Wanna Wallaby as a "lion" costume.
- At the beginning of the episode, there is a chest that contains many pieces of headwear from previous episodes. - The candle at the beginning of the episode is the same one from The Good Egg of Gooseville.

- The audio recording of one of Mr. Lunt's screams is re-used from a few previous episodes.
- Several costumes in the story of Moses are re-used from previous episodes:

- Jimmy suggesting that the Israelites worship a giant golden bunny appears to be a very likely reference to a certain episode involving a giant bunny statue.
- The bag that Khalil carries when he returns to the theater is a smaller version of Scallini's from LarryBoy and the Cape-Coat Caper.
