Narrator (Steve McKenzie): Once upon a time, in the small Italian town of Bologna Salami. There lived a lonely toy maker named Gelato.

Gelato: Just because I talk to toys doesn't make me lonely.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): And his assistant, Cricket.

Cricket: I am not a cricket! I am a caterpillar! Well, that is only half true.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): Gelato had no children he could call his own. So one day, he decided to carve a little boy out of wood.

Cricket: This has bad idea written all over it.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): Imagine Gelato's surprise, when he learned that this little toy boy could walk and talk!

Toy: You're not the boss of me. I can do whatever I want whenever I want.

Cricket: Looks like this one's headed for the wood chipper.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): From the workshop of Big Idea, comes "VeggieTales: Pistachio: The Little Boy That Woodn't"! Meet Gelato, a lonely toy maker.

Gelato: Just because I talk to toys doesn't make me lonely. Besides, I've got ducks!

Ducklings: Quack, Quack.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): And his assistant, Cricket.

Cricket: I am not a cricket! I am a caterpillar! Well, that is only half true.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): Kind and honest Gelato had no children he could call his own. So one day, he decided to carve a little boy out of wood.

Gelato: I will call you Pistachio.

Pistachio: You're not the boss of me.

Gelato: I'm your father, Gelato. You need to listen to those who love you the most: your parents.

Pistachio: Why should I listen to my parents?

Cricket: Oh, I've got a bad feeling about this.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): And when the listening stops, the trouble starts!

Confetti, Purina and Carnie: No need to listen to your dad, you know enough.

Confetti: And here's your opportunity. (Pan out to reveal a carnival on the waterfront.) The Waterfront Carnival.

Purina: It'll be such fun!

Pistachio: Looks kinda scary.

Cricket: This has bad idea written all over it.

Pistachio: Oh no! Daaad!!!

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): But there are plenty of twists and turns before Pistachio can return to his family in this whale of a tale!

Pistachio: Gelato!

Gelato: Pistachio!

Cricket: Don't you get me crying!

Pistachio: I spent the five cents and I went and I tried to win more money, then I lost, then I almost drowned, then I lied and almost crashed because there was no horsie, until I got eaten by this fish!

Cricket: All true.

All 3 brothers: So children please listen to your dads and mamas as they tuck you in, in your footie pajamas

Espresso: You know what I'm sayin'? I bet you do. I bet you know what I'm sayin'.

Narrator (Steve McKenzie): Plus the new Silly Song, "Where Have All the Staplers Gone?"

Larry: The rubber bands were in their place?

Rubber bands: La la la la la la la la

Petunia: They're in the middle drawer.

Rubber bands: Middle drawer middle drawer.
