Fun Facts[]
Trivia[]
- This was released both on the same day as O Veggie, Where Art Thou? and exactly two weeks after the home video release of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie.
- Stop and Go with Mercy was previously sung in Jonah's Overboard Sing Along, although the fourth verse is omitted in this album's version of the song. Additionally, in the second verse, the line "My sister really bugs me" has been changed to "My best friend really bothers me".
- In this album's version of Stop and Go with Mercy, Jimmy, Junior, and Larry are most likely referring to Jerry, Laura, and Bob respectively.
- This is the last album in the Sing-Alongs series to include split tracks.
Remarks[]
- At the beginning of the album, Mr. Nezzer claims that he should sit up at the front of the van because he needs a lot of leg room, but as a zucchini, he has no legs.
- A similar scenario occurs with Pa at the end of This Train, where he states that he could stand to stretch his legs, but as a grape, he doesn't have any legs either.
Inside References[]
- Barbara Manatee is acknowledged a few times throughout the album.
- During Are We There Yet?, Larry asks, "You think you can stop for some fried chicken? I've got a real hankerin' for some fried chicken." This is a reference to one of Jimmy's lines from Dave and the Giant Pickle.
- The van on the album cover is the same one from Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie.
Real-World References[]
- Bugles are a type of corn snack produced by General Mills and Tom's Snacks. They have a curly, horn-like shape, which may also have been the inspiration for the design of the cheese curls from Jonah.
- Surrey with the Fringe on the Top originated from the Rogers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma!.
- Stuckey's is an American convenience store that is based in the Southwest, Southwest, and Midwestern United States. It is known for selling pecan log rolls and kitschy souvenirs.
- Ease on Down the Road originated from the 1978 film The Wiz.
- House Depot is a parody of The Home Depot, an American home improvement retail company.
- Before I'm Gonna Sing, I'm Gonna Shout, Junior and Mr. Nezzer make references to the lyrics of the Isley Brothers song Shout, to which Bob responds by stating that they've already covered that song.
- Bonanza was an American television show that ran from 1959 to 1973.
- Larry guesses that manatees sound like "those whales from Star Trek." He is very likely referring to George and Gracie, the two humpback whales from the 1986 film, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
- Junior says he spots a Volkswagen Beetle, which is a German car that was produced from 1938 to 2003.
Fast Forward[]
- The veggies would eventually get to go to the roller rink in another album.
- This would also be where Archibald would say "Oh goodie" again.
