Palmy is a palm tree. Bob, Larry, and their passengers were stranded. Palmy lives on a small island in the middle of the ocean. Archibald and his wife think that a nearby tree is calling Larry's name, but then discover it is Bob on top of the tree. Later in the story, after everyone forgives Larry for crashing the boat, they think they hear a tree speaking again, only this time they were right. A palm tree named Palmy comes up to them and congratulates them on forgiving each other, then sings The Forgiveness Song. The coconuts hanging from him sang along.

* Chief Elder is an ancient tree in the Raspberry Forest, he wakes up when Randalf (Mr. Nezzer) greets him about the discussion of the bean, he said to talk the bean through the blue gate to the Land of Woe. It's confirmed he lost his sense of humor during the fourth millennium and can be seriously offended if anyone laughs or makes fun of his language which is what happens when one of the tress blows a raspberry, Ear-a-Corn (Larry) laughs so loud that Chief Elder imprisoned the Fellowship of the Bean which is what he does to anyone who makes fun of their language and keeps them up there indefinitely, which Randalf confirms that someone he knew after being imprisoned for 12 years was blown off in a windstorm never to be seen again, however after the Fellowship tries to escape by jumping on an Eagle and after the Eagle flies away, Chief Elder throws a raspberry and reprimands Randalf for escaping detention, as the Fellowship runs away, he orders the Trees to throw raspberries at them.

Chester's Parents first appear in The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's and reprimand their son Chester (played by Gourdon) for running off and kidnapping innocent munchies, after the Dad asks the Minions to put down their mops, the Mom reminds Chester that he needs to finish packing because they're taking a trip to see his cousin Bobby in Kansas.
  +
  +
The Mom looks identical to the Pear and Penelope but has blonde hair and bangs in front, a pink blouse and skirt pearl earrings, and a green nose and carries a brown bag in her debut only while the Dad looks identical to Oscar and has a brown hat, pants, and tie, Black eyebrows, hair, and mustache, and a tan shirt. The Dad is obviously not the same character as Oscar (even though quite a number of fans think that they're the same character) because his hairs are different and he doesn't have a Polish accent and it's unconfirmed if the Mom is the same character as the Pear or Penelope, some fans assume it's true but she appears again in It's a Meaningful Life and her name is Betty but Penelope appears in her debut costume so it makes it more unlikely they're the same character.

The Closet Monsters

TalesFromtheCrisper102

After Bob was singing about not being afraid to Junior, three monsters showed up from Junior's closet and hopped into his sock drawer.

The first monster is Lumpy, who is sea foam green with pink spots on him, a big pink nose and eyelids. The second one is yellow with sea foam green eyelids and a light blue mohawk. The third one is orange with purple eyelids, spikes and a big purple nose.

Fun Facts

  • Henry was unnamed in his debut episode, but according to a Sticker pack, the bios of Big Idea's first website, and one of the answers to a question on the trivia challenge of the DVD of Josh and the Big Wall!, his name was confirmed to be Henry.)[1]
  • Most fans think that he was redesigned as Po-Ta-To. However, it is impossible that he is the same character.

Palmy The Palm Tree

GodWantsMeToForgiveThem356

Palmy is a palm tree. The coconuts hanging from him (voiced by Lisa Vischer) sang along.

Carrot Guards

TheCarrotGuards

The three Carrot Guards first appear when they were told to seize Rack, Shack and Benny and throw them in the furnace. However, before they fall into the furnace fire, Laura Carrot rescues them. Two of the guards pursue them on flying cars into the factory vents. One of the guards crashes into a wall and falls into a vat of chocolate. The second guard goes through the wrong vent and also falls in a vat of chocolate.

In their debut, they appeared eyeless.

Filmography

Fun Facts

  • Despite other carrots in the early episodes including Dad Carrot and Scooter Carrot, the Carrot Guards' top part of their heads (which is split by a line between like with the rest of their bodies) is cut off by their police caps, hence hiding their eyes.

Manuel

Manuel is Larry's Mexican friend who joins him in singing Feliz Navidad. His only appearance to date was in the first Christmas album A Very Veggie Christmas. He is not to be confused with the role Archibald played in Beauty and the Beet.

Voice Actor

Fun Facts

  • According to Mike, he originally intended to have Manuel be voiced by his friend Manuel Valencia who, along with Mike's wife Lisa, did the Spanish translation for Dance of the Cucumber but he was too busy.

Art Bigotti

Larry'sHighSilkHat8

Art Bigotti is known as the famous bowler who appeared a few times in the series.

He originally appeared in a signed plate that Junior's dad owned, which Junior later broke when he tried grabbing it from the cabinet.

He later appeared psychically in the Silly Song Larry's High Silk Hat while waiting for the trolley.

Bigotti actually spoke in Creativity City with a Chicago accent.

Grim Tickler

EstherTheGirlWhoBecameQueen245

Whenever someone has to be sent to the Island of Perpetual Tickling, a long thin veggie that wears a brown robe with a long white feather comes out and tickles the punished victims to the island endlessly. He is a silent, minor character at all, and eerie organ-like music plays whenever he shows up.

He is only seen in Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen.

Fun Facts

  • The name was coined by Mike Nawrocki in the episode commentary.
    • On a similar note, Phil stated that a child of a close friend of his called it "Bad Bird."
  • In the concept art, the Grim Tickler was going to have glove-like hands, similar to what the Snoodles have later.

  • If you look closely, you can see he only has a nose and no eyes, meaning the character is eyeless.

Penelope and Mabel

PenelopeandMabel

Penelope and Mabel are both minor and recurring female characters that appeared in VeggieTales. In their debut, they were waiting for husbands to come back home from pillaging the other night. The two later appeared in Jonah when they spotted the prophet by the docks, and wonder what's the new message from God.

Penelope is a yellow-green gourd with yellow hair, a green nose, and speaks in a British accent. Mabel is a green asparagus, and speaks with a Cockney accent.

Filmography

Fun Facts

  • They are based off an unnamed pear and asparagus duo who appeared in the first episode. This was confirmed by Mike in the commentary for said episode.
    • Additionally, Penelope and the pear were both voiced by Gail Freeman.
  • Mabel's model is almost exactly like Lovey's, except her "hair" is the same as Archibald's.
  • In later episodes, Penelope gained an American accent, possibly because her original actress left the show.
    • Though like Charlie Pincher, she probably switches accent for whatever role she plays.

The Captain of S. S. Minnow

Captain

After God told Maewyn that it's time for him to leave Ireland, Maewyn spotted a dock and talked to the Captain there if he can have a lift. The Captain says he can, and the whole crew went to French. They were suppose to head to the nearest town, but there directions were a bit off, and got lost and ran out of supplies. The Captain asks Maewyn if he can for some food, which they later did when one of the sailors spotted some pigs. The Captain and his crew later thanked Maewyn and God for the food. They eventually got to the next town afterwards.
