Michael "Mike" Sage is a software engineer, and was the original voice actor for Scallion 3.
Shortly after Big Idea moved to Franklin, Mike moved to St. Louis to be the director of Worship Arts at Greentree Community Church[1]. He then moved back to Chicago in 2010.
He has twins who are huge fans of VeggieTales.[2]

- A few years after VeggieTales started, Mike admitted to Phil Vischer that he'd still had yet to watch an actual show from the series due to him not owning a VCR at the time.
- He also provided the acoustic guitar sound heard in the original version of The Water Buffalo Song, as well as The Bunny Song and Dance of the Cucumber.
