King Twistomer, also known as Mr. Twisty, is the main antagonist of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie, the first feature film in the VeggieTales franchise.
He is the King of Nineveh which was filled with people slapping each other with fishes and allowed them to do it as much as they wanted. However, this was primarily because he didn't understand good and evil, and he quit his actions after Jonah arrived.
He is played by Apollo Gourd.
Biography[]
Twistomer is first seen when his right-hand announces him to the public, who laugh when the right-hand city official mentions that Jonah and his friends supposedly stole products from Nineveh's commercial business. Thus, they were selected for a form of punishment known as "The Slap of No Return", where a captive is smashed to death by a giant fish statue made out of metal. Twistomer tells him to proceed with it, but allows Jonah to speak in defense of himself and his friends. Jonah mentions that the products were left in a large bowl which would've made it very misleading, but Twistomer doesn't believe him and orders for him and his friends to be smashed to death.
However, Jonah spews out that he was eaten by a whale while his friends were on a tour. To see if Jonah is telling the truth, Twistomer has his right-hand smell him, and finds out that Jonah was telling the truth, declaring that they need to listen to Jonah's message. Jonah orders them to stop the cheating, lying, and slapping people with fishes, or God will destroy Nineveh. Having heard the message, Twistomer concludes that when he and the Ninevites were doing was wrong, and feels remorse. In an act of redemption, Twistomer has his right-hand decree that the Ninevites need to turn to God because he gave them a second chance in life, and lets Jonah and his friends go free.
