Trivia
- The first two volumes were made during production of Jonah. The third one was made sometime between Abe and the Amazing Promise and Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah's Umbrella.
- The first two volumes are the first two collections to have interviews from kids. This never happened after this until God Made You Special.
- The first two volumes are the only ones that were distributed by HiT Entertainment.
- A Baby, A Quest, and the Wild, Wild West! is the only Heroes of the Bible volume to be distributed by Genius Products.
- For some reason, the 1998 version of the theme song is shown on the first two volumes.
- Some clips are featured in the two volumes of the theme song, Are You My Neighbor?, Rack, Shack and Benny, Dave and the Giant Pickle, The Toy That Saved Christmas, Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space!, and Josh and the Big Wall!.
- For some reason, the copyright year for the first two volumes says 2001, meaning it was finalized in 2001 on the first 2 volumes.
- While most of the episodes on the first two volumes use their 1998-2000 masters, Rack, Shack and Benny and Josh and the Big Wall! use their remasters on the DVD version of Stand Up, Stand Tall, Stand Strong!, as they were already remastered for their DVD releases which came around the spring of the year before the DVD release of said compilation came out.
- However, the VHS edition of said compilation video still utilizes the 1998-2000 masters of both said episodes, hinting that the 1998-2000 masters would not suit the DVD release well for their low audiovisual quality. The 1998-2000 masters of all the other episodes as described above are still on the DVD releases of the first two compilations, due to those having not yet been remastered in high quality at the time until their VeggieTales Classics re-releases in 2003-2006.
- In the Brazilian DVD release on the first volume, Dave and the Giant Pickle uses the visuals from the 2000 master but with the 2004 master audio (including the sound effects of Goliath's footsteps), while the American version for this compilation still uses the 2000 master.
- Tales From the Crisper, The Gourds Must Be Crazy, and Duke and the Great Pie War were not featured on these compilations. The former two are not retellings of Bible stories.
- These kids outtakes segment from two volumes can be featured from the DVD version.
- The kids in the first two volumes, each 75 minutes long, were identified as the Children of Wheaton Evangelical Free Church Sunday School.
- The first two volumes were released on DVD on February 4, 2003.
- The first two volumes were the only Heroes of the Bible! videos released on VHS, due to the general death of the VHS format in early 2006.
Remarks
- On the first volume, during the credits, an instrumental of God is Bigger plays, although that song doesn't appear on the video.
- On the third volume, the credits show the cast for the stories of Babysitter in DeNile, and Duke and the Great Pie War.
- Love My Lips, Dance of the Cucumber, The Song of the Cebú, Belly Button, and A Mess Down in Egypt weren't credited.
