Since Big Idea released their shows onto DVDs, there are hidden Easter Eggs you can find on the DVD menus and games. These stopped being used after The Penniless Princess.

Where's God When I'm S-Scared?

Note: Each of these Easter Eggs are included on both the VeggieTales Classics and 15th Anniversary Editions of the DVD and they are located on the same menus.

  • The first Easter egg can be found on the main menu. It is of Phil, Lisa, and Mike talking about creating Junior's character and voice. On the VeggieTales Classics version of the DVD, it also plays when you answer all 10 Trivia questions correctly.
  • The second egg can be found in the Bonus Features menu. It is of Phil talking about writing for Larry.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It's of Mike talking about Bob.

God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?!

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. It's Mike talking about filming the company picnic for the "Why we do what we do" bumper at the beginning of VeggieTales videos.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. It is archive footage of Mike filming around the studio, giving somewhat of a tour.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It's Mike talking about how Larry's voice changed after the video.
  • The fourth egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. The version of the theme song that appeared on the original VHS version of the video can be seen, although the 2004 audio is what's heard.

Are You My Neighbor?

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. It is Phil talking about the inspirations for Jimmy and Jerry's voices.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. It's Kurt explaining how both Busy, Busy and Love Your Neighbor are both waltzes.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It's of Phil and Mike doing the voice recording of the opening countertop scene.
  • The fourth egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It's of Phil and Lisa doing the voice recording for Bob and Larry's intro scene in The Gourds Must Be Crazy.

Rack, Shack and Benny

  • The first egg can be found in the Features menu. It is a still advertisement for the chocolate Bob at Stuff-Mart.

  • The second egg can be found on the last page of the Concept Art. It is a Voice Flip Flop with all of the characters voiced by Phillipe.
  • The third egg can be found in the Promo Materials menu. It is a page that explains the many voices Phil has provided for the show at the time. Although access to the egg was removed in the 2009 DVD, it is still present in the disc files.

Dave and the Giant Pickle

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. It is Mike talking about some moments with the sheep.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. It is Phil explaining Archibald's "Couldn't you just play your harp and I'll throw things at you" line during the Big Things Too! song.
  • The third egg can be found on the Fun menu. It is Phil saying that the sheep tipping over for comedy is loosely inspired by the phrase "Cow tipping."
  • The fourth one is played after when you reach the end of the maze game you can play in the Fun Menu. It involved Phil and Mike talking about changes to one of the Rorschach cards in the silly song.

The Toy That Saved Christmas

  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is Mike again talking about the different images in the Love My Lips rorschach test.
  • The fourth egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It is Kurt talking about making Silly Songs.

Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space!

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. It is Joe Sapulich talking about the unique style of VeggieTales.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. It is Joe Sapulich talking about his first day at Big Idea.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is Phil explaining how they lowered Tim Gregory's voice for the Fib.
  • The fourth egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It is Kurt talking about writing the music.

  • The third can be found in the Promo Materials menu by clicking on Joshua's clothing. It is a Technical Difficulties video of the scene of the French Peas using slushie hoses. The video is upside down, with distorted music and Jean Claude's lines first being played backwards, then high pitched.

Madame Blueberry

  • The first easter egg can be found in the Features menu. Phil talks about that this episode had some inside jokes, and points out the poster with Goliath and the Fib.
  • The second egg can be found on the Previews menu. Joe Sapulich talks about the inspiration for Madame Blueberry.
  • The third egg can be found on the Fun menu. Mike Nawrocki talks about the origin of His Cheeseburger.

The End of Silliness?

  • The first Easter Egg can be found on the main menu. It's Phil and Lisa talking about how they came up with the What Have We Learned song. (This was previously shown on the behind the scenes of the first episode)
  • The second can be found on the Features menu. It's Mike talking about how the sound effects for the Stuff Mart song were made.
  • The third can be found on the Fun menu. Mike talks about the cancelled Silly Song and states there were a few verses in the song.
  • The fourth can be found after completing the Trivia on hard mode. Kurt Heinecke talks about on how to find the right musical theme and how he does them.

Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. In it, Kurt talks about scoring a rare trailer for the video, which plays when he is done.
  • The second egg can be found on the Features menu. Phil talks about casting editor John Wahba as Dad Carrot for his Egyptian accent.

  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It's storyboard reels for 2 different scenes in the video.
  • The fourth can be found after completing the Trivia on hard mode. It's of an animator showing the 3-D models of the Rumor Weed and Larry-Boy in the Softimage animation software.

King George and the Ducky

  • The first egg can be found on the Features menu. This one is about Ron Smith stating about the animation mistake he made when King George was in his towel, even after he changed into his robe.
  • The second egg can be found on the Previews menu. It features Marc Vulcano as he talks about one detail from the episode called, the thinking character, and how it makes audiences believe in what the characters are expressing just by focusing on their eyes.
  • The third egg can be found on the Fun menu. Mike Nawrocki talks about the wooden model of Barbara Manatee he owns. It was made by Jeremy Vickery's father Ted Travers.

Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen

  • The first egg can be found on the Features menu. Phil states how fans have mixed opinions of the episode because it's like a Disney film.
  • The second egg can be found on the Fun Menu. Mike talks about his fear of being tickled.
  • The third egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Trivia. It is the teaser for the show that was first seen on the 2000 Lyrick Studios reprint of The Toy That Saved Christmas .
  • The fourth egg can be found on the Settings menu. It features Kurt Heinecke talking about his song sessions on Lost Puppies.

  • The second egg is found on page two of the same menu on the 2001 and 2004 releases only. This time when you click on the logo, the song Lost Puppies will play. Because the video seen in Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen is shorter than the album version, a still image of Miss Achmetha is all that's seen for a lot of the song until the video itself starts.
  • The third egg is found on page three of the same menu. This time when you click on the logo, you see the actual voting results of the countdown.
  • The fourth egg is found on final page of the same menu. This time when you click on the logo, the Japanese dub of The Hairbrush Song will play.

  • The first egg can be found in the main menu. It is an interview with Bob and Larry on "The Rusty Sprockets Show."
  • The second egg can be found in The Music menu. It is Khalil's motivational audiotapes.
  • The third egg can be found in the Bonus Material menu. It is the French Peas creating their own bootleg of the movie.
  • The fourth egg can be found in the Trailers & Previews menu. It is a Chinese bootleg cover of the movie.
  • The fifth egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is some of the alternative sayings from the Jonah plush toy.

The Wonderful World of Auto-Tainment!

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the Features menu. It is Ron Smith talking about the way the Ventrilomatic and Rusty are animated, and what he based their voices off of.
  • The second egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is Ameake Owens talking about the visual development of the show.

The Ballad of Little Joe

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the Features menu. It is an extended version of I'm Blue.
  • The second egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is an extended version of Oh Little Joe 1.
  • The third egg can be found after answering every question on the Easy mode of the Trivia. It is Tim Hodge and David Pitts talking about re-used characters, Bob's sheriff hats, and tributes to both of their childhoods in Oklahoma.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It is an extended version of the Mayor's Dream scene.

An Easter Carol

Big Idea animators used special effects to place themselves in the factory scene.

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is David Pitts explaining how they animated the factory escape scene.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. The first half is of David Pitts talking about the development of Hope, and the second half is Jonathan Martin showing off his clay sculpture of Hope.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is the factory explosion scene, but Bob and Mr. Nezzer are replaced with the animation team.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Trivia. It is Tim Hodge explaining how the voice actors have to imagine the situation their characters are in. David Pitts then explains how Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki are fun to record in the recording booth.

A Snoodle's Tale

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. The first half is Mike Nawrocki explaining how he recorded himself dancing as a reference for the animators, while the second half is the actual dancing footage. Pressing the "angle" button on a DVD remote shows a split-screen of Mike and Mr. Sly dancing.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. It is Joe Sapulich explaining why the Snoodles' hands are so close to their bodies.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is Marc Vulcano explaining how Snoodle Doo's name is never mentioned in the episode.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Trivia. It is Charlotte Jackson and Mike Nawrocki during rehearsal of Sport Utility Vehicle.

Sumo of the Opera

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is Brian Roberts explaining the employee cameos in the St. Patrick segment.
  • The second egg can be found in the Features menu. The first half is Mike Nawrocki explaining how he inspired Larry's look in Schoolhouse Polka after a friend of his, who is a music teacher. The second half is Mike talking about how the bus routes that Larry mentions are real bus routes in Chicago.
  • The third egg can be found in the Fun menu. It is Brian Roberts talking about an animation error in the St. Patrick segment, in which Maewyn's neck isn't attached to his body.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Trivia. It is Brian Roberts showing how to make a simple animation. (This feature was re-used from the Sumo of the Opera Sampler DVD.)

Duke and the Great Pie War

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is Mike Nawrocki explaining how he sprinkled mentions of his whole family throughout the episode.
  • The second egg can be found in the Bonus Features menu. It is Kurt Heinecke comparing a scene without music and a scene with music.
  • The third egg can be found in the Family Fun menu. It is Mike Nawrocki explaining how he was too happy to paint German expressionism in his art classes.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Trivia. It is a compilation of deleted scenes showing Miriam hiding Mosses from the guards.

Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Samson's Hairbrush

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is bloopers of Mike Nawrocki and Tim Hodge introducing the Duke and the Great Pie War premiere.
  • The second egg can be found in the Bonus Features menu. It is Kurt Heinecke singing backup vocals for Pizza Angel.
  • The third egg can be found in the family fun menu. It is Tim Hodge and a few other Big Idea crew members going Geocaching.

Lord of the Beans

  • There are two Easter eggs in the main menu.
    • The first one can be found on the jewel. This changes the characters on the menu. The first time has Randalf and Leg-o-Lamb with the bottom having Charlie Pincher and Grumpy.
    • The second time has Ear-a-Corn and Charlie Pincher with the sporks trying to take the jewel at the bottom. The third time has Toto and Ahem.
    • The other egg on the menu is found on the left side. It's a video of Kurt and some of the crew heading to Dollywood while I Can Be Your Friend plays in the background.
  • The third egg can be found on the Bonus features. It's David Pitts showing an alternative scene of the Fellowship with the Elders.
  • The fourth can be found on the Silly Song sing-along menu. It's Wyonna Judd giving Larry advice for singing.

Sheerluck Holmes and the Golden Ruler

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. Scallion #3 tells you that he can play three songs if you ring the bell.
    • The first song is Gated Community, which ends with one of the guys stating about the ball and bounces afterwards.
    • The second song is Pop Goes the Weasel, with Don and Pancho popping behind the piano.
    • The third song is Call on Us, with Sheerluck and Watson dancing.
  • The second one can be found in the bonus features. It's a video of Matthew Ward and West singing the Silly Song, with Ward fooling around.

  • The first egg can be found on the main menu. It is a live performance of Top Banana.
  • The second egg can be found on the bonus features menu. It shows Tim Hodge and David Pitts making a model of Curly while an instrumental of I Want to Dance plays in the background.
  • The third egg shows an exclusive ad for the Handypod Advanced game console.
  • The fourth egg shows "Jean Claude's Superhero Ending."

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. If you click on the little badge at the bottom of the screen, a Midianite tries to throw a giant rock over the cliff, but ends up falling off.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It shows Gideon dodging everything his brothers throw at him, but falls down when they throw one of their brothers at him.
  • The third egg can be found in the behind the scenes menu. It is Brian Roberts talking about the Bristol Snoop articles.
  • The fourth egg can be found in the fun and games menu. It shows Brian Roberts giving a tour of the orphanage in the George Mueller story.
  • The fifth egg can be found when answering all the questions on the Trivia. It shows one of the Turtle Toobies floating into the sky, while hanging on to the Bob blimp.
  • The sixth egg can be found when completing the Turtle Toobies game. It is the scene where the Midianites set up camp, but the Midianites are replaced with the Turtle Toobies.

Moe and the Big Exit

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is Brian Roberts talking about the 10 Western Commandments.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It is a tour of Big Idea's studios with the Christmas decorations.
  • The third egg can be found when answering all the questions on the Trivia. It shows Moe and Zippy running into Aaron's tomahawk stand and destroying it; however, he still tries to make amends by greeting him.

God Made You Special

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is the original opening to Bob's Vacation, with an introduction by John Wahba.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It is John Wahba acting out some scenes as references for the animators.
  • The third egg can be found when answering all the questions on the Trivia. It is a compilation of unused kid interviews for Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly.

The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is Jerrad Matthew choreographing the songs.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It is Andrew Peterson and Randall Goodgame performing a demo of the Silly Song Monkey.
  • The third egg can be viewed after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It is Darby, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion bumping into a cardboard backdrop of the Land of Ha's.
  • The fourth egg can be viewed after completing the Munchieland Peas game. It is the Munchies jumping on the bouncy castle.

Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It's a deleted scene of the Tradesman explaining where he gets his turkey jerky.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It's a much more dramatic version of the scene where Huck is in Muscatine.
  • The third egg can be found in the behind the scenes menu. It's a deleted scene of Huck imagining his and Tom's dreams coming true.
  • The fourth egg can be found after answering every question on the Trivia. It is a scene of the original Clark Wayne character.
  • The fifth egg can be found when completing Huckleberry's Word Puzzle game. It is a quicker version of Little Jimmy's chase scene in the beginning.

The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. Mike Nawrocki talks about the making of the Silly Song.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. Joe Spadaford talks about young artists being inspired.
  • The third egg can be found in the behind the scenes menu. Tim Hodge talks about his first drawing for the movie and Eloise.
  • The fourth egg can be found in The Treasure Detector Game after completing it. It is the Elliot's "Afraid Of" List song.
  • The fifth egg can be found after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It shows Elliot, Sedgewick and George in hammocks, while Willory rocks them around by turning the ship rapidly. Eventually, Sedgewick gets knocked off the ship.

Abe and the Amazing Promise

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It is a deleted scene that plays in between when Jaques is at the mad scientist's castle, and when he sings "Hum, Ding, Purr, Whee!".
  • The second egg can be found after answering every question on the Hard mode of the Trivia. It's bloopers of Chris Wall, Mike Nawrocki, Kurt Heinecke and John Wahba trying to say "Blunders in Boo-Boo Ville."
  • The third egg can be found when completing the Can You Rememb-Ur game. It is the original scene of the mad scientist playing the organ.

Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It is Bob talking more about St. Nicholas's history.
  • The second egg can be found in the bonus features menu. It is some dialog from George that was cut in the final version.

The Penniless Princess

  • The only Easter egg can be found in the main menu. It shows the alternative opening with Dad Asparagus instead of Larry playing Captain Crewe.

3-2-1 Penguins!

Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn

  • The first Easter egg can be found in the Features and Fun menu. The first half is Page Hearn talking about the inspiration for Fidgel's voice, and his favorite Fidgel line. The second half is Michael Spooner talking about the stylistic difference between Grandmum's cottage and the Penguins' world. Which of the two play upon selecting the egg is random, though on the Lyle 2007 DVD, both play back-to-back.
  • The second egg can be found in the Promo Materials menu. It is footage of penguins jumping out of the ocean onto some rocks, with music from The Cheating Scales of Bullamanka over-top. The Lyle 2007 DVD has this egg accessible from the 3-2-1 Penguins main menu instead.
  • The third egg can be found in the Hey Kids!! menu. It is a compilation of screenshots from the episode, with kaleidoscope effects added. Which kaleidoscope screenshot plays upon selecting the egg is random, though on the Lyle 2007 DVD, all three play back-to-back-to-back.

The Doom Funnel Rescue!

  • The third egg can be found in the Hey Kids!! menu. It is a simple animation test of Scaly Slim's truck, and its abilities.
  • The fourth egg can be found when answering all the questions in the 3-2-1 Trivia. It is Tom Owens showing how to draw Preston.

  • The second egg can be found in the Hey Kids!! menu. It is Ron Smith explaining the purpose of the dartboard, and the development of the dart aliens.
  • The third egg can be found when answering all the questions in the 3-2-1 Trivia. It is Ron Smith explaining how he voices Kevin.
  • The fourth egg can be found in the Previews menu. It is Ron Smith explaining how they develop the shows. This also includes clips of Ron communicating with the animators in Canada.
  • The fifth egg can be found when completing the Space Maze. It's a storyboard version of the scene from the episode where the crew is talking to the darts.
