Dad Carrot is a minor character in VeggieTales. He is the father of Laura, Lenny and Baby Lou. He is mostly seen his wife. Dad, along with Laura and Lenny, debuted in Are You My Neighbor? as minor characters playing citizens of Jibber-de-lot.
Mom and Dad Carrot changed their appearance and wore more clothing in the recent episodes. Dad Carrot has only made three cameos so far.
Appearance[]
He looked like a normal, pointy carrot from Are You My Neighbor? to Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed, but looked like a taller baby carrot in Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving. In Babysitter in DeNile, his design was a modified version of one of the Joppa citizens from Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. As of The VeggieTales Show, he now takes on the design of one of the recurring background characters.

Trivia[]
- He was originally going to be Laura, Lenny and Baby Lou's uncle, aptly named "Unca Joe". This original name can be seen on an early photo of him and the rest of the carrot kids that was seen hanging on a bulletin wall at Big Idea's office in 1994. However, when the character was changed to be a father, his name was simply changed to "Dad Carrot".
- He originally had a longer, pointier top of his head (thus giving him a more realistic carrot look) which is only shown in said early photo. In Are You My Neighbor?, the pointy top of his head is obscured by a tall pot that he is wearing on his head. In further episodes, the pointy top of his head was reduced in length and rounded smoother.
