Remarks[]
- The version of Thankfulness Song used in this episode is the one from Junior's Bedtime Songs rather than the original version from Madame Blueberry.
- Whenever Ms. Manners speaks, a harpsichord often plays in the background.
Inside References[]
- The episode's title is based on a phrase from Madame Blueberry, which happens to be the main message of the episode.
- Madame Blueberry recounts the events of her debut episode, including how she used to feel blue and how she was obsessed with wanting to buy stuff until she learned to be thankful for what she had. She even sings an excerpt of I'm So Blue, the first song of the same episode.
- George shares his name with two different characters from the franchise: one from the original show and one from VeggieTales in the House.
- The Insta-Cocoon commercial announcer’s line “I’m so glad you didn’t ask” is quite similar to what the announcer from the Stuff-Mart commercial also said.
Real-World References[]
- Fred the caterpillar has a very similar voice to Scooter from SpongeBob SquarePants.
- The gag where the commercial announcer calls him “Gary” instead of his real name (which is Fred) may be a reference to an exchange involving the title character's pet snail, Gary, in that show’s episode “I Was a Teenage Gary”, albeit with the names switched around. This gag was also used in the 2020 film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.
